After more than 20 years as a commercial lawyer, in-house counsel, corporate consultant and an executive-level manager of businesses in the mining and technology sectors, Anthony Karam started on a different journey after seeing, firsthand, the enormous e-waste landfill dumps in West Africa back in 2017. At the same time, he was exposed to emerging, but mostly untested, new technologies aimed at solving complex challenges. The group's model combines secure ICT lifecycle services for Government and Corporate clients with social impact—creating employment opportunities for Indigenous youth who at the same time undertake Worldview Foundation's holistic life and employment readiness program. Founder, Save Our Seas
Leading sustainable fashion pioneer Kit Willow, founder of two global fashion brands and most recently CIRKIT advisory has revealed her latest collaboration, a campaign to save the oceans from plastic pollution in partnership with future planet advocate 11-year-old Melbourne student Lumi Wilson. Entitled “Save Our Seas”, the campaign aims to increase awareness and educate audiences through sales of a limited edition KITX x Save Our Seas activism tee, with 100% of profits going to leading conservation organisations Melbourne Zoo’s Marine Response Unit and Take 3 for the Sea. “Save Our Seas” was born of Lumi’s desperation when learning of the devastating effects of plastic waste on marine life after watching David Attenborough’s documentary series Blue Planet 2.
